This item covers the refurbishment of cloudy, dull, faded or yellowed headlight lenses by us. The headlight lenses are sanded down and recoated with a UV-resistant clear coat.
A headlight must always be sealed with a UV-resistant clear coat. Polishing alone only provides a temporary improvement to the surface. The surface is then left exposed and will become cloudy and dull extremely quickly due to weather and UV exposure!
This is explicitly a repair! Fine sanding marks or holograms may be visible in sunlight. Stone chips and deeper cracks beneath the clear coat itself may not always be completely sanded down to "zero" in order to avoid negatively affecting the strength of the lenses and/or creating waves in the lens. In this case, the clear coat may form a "soft" indentation. The aforementioned internal "cracks" may partially remain.
After refurbishment, the lenses are NOT NEW - but refurbished to the best possible condition!
Process:
- After purchase, we will contact you to arrange an appointment
- You send us your headlights or bring them to us in person
- We repair the headlights as quickly as possible
- After receipt of payment, we send them back
